Alex was sick most of the week. We think he lost 5 to 10% of his body weight (i.e., 1 or 2 pounds). He was throwing up for about 3 days, and had diarrhoea for 4. He was lethargic and sleeping much worse than he normally does.
I was so out of it Wednesday that my accomplishments for the day were:
- Not crashing the car on the way to or from work.
- Not throwing up (I get nauseous when I don’t get enough sleep).
Thankfully Alex is bettor now, and we’re all more caught up on sleep.
Other things of note:
- Both my right and left knees are now hurting when I’m at rest. Worrisome.
- My title changed (though, I didn’t get promoted) at work. From “Senior Lead Software Engineer” to “Manager, Technology”.
