To Do List: Outings

Since it doesn’t seem like I’ll get around to them any time soon, I’m removing some of these from my to do list… just wanted to have a reminder of them somewhere… Some have been on this list since very soon after I moved to Boston.

  • Pick something from Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston.
  • Read your own Bostonia page.
  • Rent-a-room Kareoke with friends. We’ve done it in Japan, but not in Boston. The place we were thinking of may have actually closed down.
  • Host a Murder Mystery. The guest list is interesting because ½ the people on our tentative guest list are now out-of-towners:
    • Erin
    • Jon Sheffi
    • Dan
    • Rose-Louise
    • Mario
    • Yumi
  • Dance at LSF (or wherever the Tech Squares spring weekend is) in a cheerleader outfit, complete with blond wig and pompoms. I don’t remember how this came up, but it’s one of the suggestions that some one made that just tickled my sense of humour.
  • Vegas, Trip Options:
    • Go with no bag packed, buy as you go / as needed.
    • Go during NASCAR (lotsa fish). This time say “yes” when asked if you’re part of the pit crew.
    Stuff to do:
    • Half Price Tix
    • Cute Waitress Casino. Crazy Horse Too, Ra, Rum Jungles.
    • Tripod, Camera, Good Film.
    • Goto (I’m amused that I spell “go to” the programmer way) Nice Restaurant, Steak Maybe, Romantic?
    • Circus Circus.
    • New York New York Rollercoaster.
    • Vertical Wind Tunnel.
    • Play in up to $30-60 if the table is good.
    • Play some pot limit or no limit games.
    • Play games AWAY from the side action at big tourneys. e.g. play at Bellagio when the WSOP is at Binions.
    • Goto Poker Book Store.
  • Do a road rally.
  • See RHPS with Yaus. I think this one made it on to the list in about 1999.
  • Meritage or Lumiere for Boston Resto Week with V & Lauren. V’s now in San Francisco, about 3100 miles away. Google Maps thinks you can drive from Boston to San Francisco in less than 2 days.

Yeah, we’re lame about the Rocky.
