Was at Macy’s today. The intimates section is next to the children’s section. At first, that didn’t make much sense… who has time? Then I realized that the children’s section is near the intimates section…. ah.

Actually, a lot of store layouts are based on old gender role stereotypes. For instance, in almost every grocery store I’ve ever been to, the feminine hygiene products are located next to the diapers. Why? Because those are two things that women shop for, not men. I imagine that the intimates and children’s sections are close together because of a similar reason.
