  • First solid poop today.
  • He’s getting very good at opening the doors of the TV stand.
  • He likes plain yoghurt. He doesn’t like the Apple Oatmeal Yoghurt in a baby food jar.
  • He’s almost always trying to stand and climb over things. Also means that he ends up falling fairly often. He hasn’t quite mastered falling down gracefully, so he bumps his head fairly often. The foam pads on the floor are his new best friend.
  • He has a fairly long attention span now. He’ll drop toys out of his crib or activity centre and stare at them longingly. Yoinking things away from him and hiding them out of sight has him looking around for a while until he’s distracted by something else.

WRT housing prices – try superimposing the demographic curve. i’m fairly certain that when the baby boomers start dying off, the housing market will settle a bit. but not at the same rate (as wealthy individuals in the echo generation will be snapping up a lot of real estate) and remain more or less at that level until the next social calamity/natural disaster/end of the world as we know it, which probably isn’t that far off: 2012, according to the Mayans and certain ascendant schools of thought…
