16 or 17 years ago, if I’d been lucky enough to convince an 18 or 19 year old girl to stay at a hotel with me, I’d've been psyched… would’ve meant I’d be… well… lucky.
Now, if we’re lucky enough to convince an 18 or 19 year old girl to stay at a hotel with us, we’d be psyched… it means we’d be lucky enough to have a babysitter.

Yeah, welcome to the club man. Although, even funnier, you could have said it like this:
17 years ago, I would have paid an 18 year old $50 to stay at a hotel with me. It would totally have been be worth it. Today, I’d pay an 18 year old to stay at a hotel with me…. to babysit … it would totally be worth it.
This is why you need more kids, Nick, and you want them about 2-3 years apart. As they get older, they can “watch” each other. I don’t mean really, but I know that when my 6 year old and 2 year old are playing together, if something happens, the other will run to find me. Works better than you’d think.
Hmmm… yup… that’s a better way to phrase it… as for the spacing… Alex is doing his best to convince us we don’t want another one… at least for now.
