Likely there shouldn’t be an issue; as the numeral value is inspected first and the written text is used to confirm.
Unless, that is you get an innumerate check processor and then, who knows.
Legally it should not be a problem. I would not want to count on the bank processing it correctly, although if they make a mistake it would be for less than a dollar anyway. It could be interesting to see what they would do with something like 1/9.
