Reset Button

When Lex is fussing, crying, or having mild difficulty spitting up / swallowing, I’ve found that blowing a strong, quick puff of air onto his face acts like a reset button. It surprises him long enough for him to forget what he was doing. If he was having difficulty spitting up or swallowing, he’ll suddenly remember how. If he was crying or fussing, he’ll take stock. If it was because of inertia, he’ll stop. If there was an underlying reason, he’ll continue, giving us valuable data with which to diagnose what’s bugging him.

I’ve jokingly suggested to Dina that I could use a can of compressed air instead. Needless to say she didn’t find that funny.
